Our story

The name Catena (chain) comes from our great-grandfather Pietrangelo's nickname: in the village they called him that because he proudly wore a gold pocket watch chain — a rare luxury, a symbol of character and dignity. That nickname became our family name, and Pietrangelo became the name of our finest oil.

Cilento in every drop

Our Rotondella olives grow on the hills of Bellosguardo (SA), more than 400 metres above sea level, in the heart of the Cilento National Park. Hand-picked, cold-pressed: every bottle preserves the intact strength of this ancient land.

The earth is the future

We believe that caring for the land is the most authentic way to look ahead. Our products are born from this conviction: Pietrangelo, the Rotondella monocultivar, and PEPE, the chilli condiment dedicated to our grandfather, are the fruit of a family that has never stopped loving its territory.
