This page explains which cookies www.tenutecatena.com uses, what they are for and how you can manage them. It follows the Guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools issued by the Italian Data Protection Authority on 10 June 2021, which implement the ePrivacy Directive.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that websites save on your device. They make the site work, remember your preferences and, in some cases, collect information about how you browse. Alongside cookies there are similar technologies (pixels, local storage): the same rules apply.
2. Strictly necessary cookies — always on
These are essential for the site to work: without them you could not add products to the basket or complete an order. No consent is required for them.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
PrestaShop-* | Keeps your session, basket, language and sign-in state | 20 days |
PHPSESSID | Identifies your browsing session on the server | Session |
catena_cookie_consent | Remembers the choice you made on the banner, so we do not ask again on every page | 180 days |
3. Statistical cookies — only with your consent
These help us understand how many people visit the site and which pages are useful, in aggregate form. They stay switched off until you allow them.
| Service | Purpose | Duration | Notice |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics 4 | Traffic and navigation statistics | up to 24 months | Google Privacy |
The site uses Google Consent Mode: until you give consent, the measurement tags run without writing cookies and without identifying you.
4. Marketing cookies — only with your consent
These would be used to show you relevant content and advertising on other sites and to measure how well it works. They too stay switched off until you allow them. At present the site installs no marketing cookies; the category remains in the banner for future use, and any activation will still require your prior consent.
5. Giving, changing or withdrawing consent
On your first visit a banner appears with three options of equal prominence: Accept all, Reject and Customise. Closing the banner with the «X» counts as rejection: no non-essential cookie is installed. Continuing to browse or scrolling does not count as consent.
You can change your mind whenever you like: the «Cookie preferences» link, always present at the bottom of every page, reopens the panel and lets you withdraw consent as easily as you gave it. Your choice is remembered for 180 days, after which the banner reappears.
You can also manage or delete cookies from your browser settings: Chrome · Firefox · Safari · Edge. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop parts of the site, such as the basket, from working.
6. Record of consent
To be able to demonstrate that valid consent was obtained, as Article 7 GDPR requires, we record the choice made, the date and time, the policy version and a technical identifier. Your IP address is stored only in hashed form and cannot be traced back to you.
