PEPE — Extra Virgin Olive Oil with Chilli 250 ml
Artisan condiment made with extra virgin olive oil (96.8%) and chilli. Assertively hot, but never harsh. A tribute to our grandfather «Pepe». Tenute Catena, Italy.
PEPE is our little jewel: a condiment made with extra virgin olive oil (96.8%) and chilli, conceived to be far more than a condiment. The choice of bottle, the growing kit that comes with it and the instructions on the tag were all designed to give the product a character of its own.
The label puts the word PEPE centre stage: it is our grandfather’s surname — an affectionate tribute to the family who taught us to love this land.
On the palate: assertively hot but pleasant, lifting the flavours of a dish without covering them. Excellent on pizza, pasta, grilled meat and vegetables.

Frequently asked questions about this product
How hot is it?
Assertively hot but pleasant: you notice it, and it does not smother the dish. It is made to lift flavours, not silence them. A few drops are enough.
What is in it?
Two ingredients only: extra virgin olive oil at 96.8% and chilli at 3.2%. Nothing else.
What do I use it on?
On a pizza straight from the oven, on garlic-and-oil pasta, on grilled meat and vegetables. Always at the end, poured over.
What is the growing kit that comes with it?
In the box you will find three chilli seeds and a coconut fibre disc, with handwritten instructions for germinating them. It is our family’s way of saying that the product comes from the land, and that on the land you can always start again.
Why is it called PEPE?
Those are the first four letters of our grandfather’s surname, and the name everyone in the village knew him by. We owe him our love for this land.
